01 What we collect

TubeMine collects the minimum needed to run the product. There are no marketing trackers, no enrichment pipelines, no behavioral profiles.

  • Google OAuth basic profile. Your email address and display name when you sign in with Google. Nothing more.
  • Usage records. Timestamps and comment counts per analysis. We use these to enforce your monthly cap and show your history.
  • IP address. Only at request time, only for rate limiting and abuse detection. Not stored beyond 24 hours.

What we never store: the comment text itself, beyond a 30 day analysis cache that is purged automatically. The cache is needed so we can re-render your past results without re-querying YouTube.

02 What we never do

This list is short on purpose. These promises are part of why TubeMine exists.

  • No selling. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party.
  • No third-party trackers. The only analytics we use is Vercel Analytics, which is server-side, IP-anonymized, and cookie-free.
  • No Google Ads pixels. No conversion tags, no remarketing audiences, no cross-site identifiers.
  • No fingerprinting. We do not run canvas, font, or device-class fingerprinting.

03 YouTube data

TubeMine queries the official YouTube Data API v3 server-side with our own API key. When you paste a YouTube URL, your browser sends that URL to TubeMine, then our server makes the API call to Google.

Your IP address is not sent to Google for analysis calls. Google sees our server's IP, not yours.

Comments are public data, the same data anyone scrolling a YouTube video can see. TubeMine never accesses private channels, unlisted videos, or anything that requires owner authentication.

04 Cookies

TubeMine sets exactly one cookie:

  • The Supabase Auth session cookie. It is httpOnly and sameSite=lax. It is required to keep you signed in.

That is the entire cookie inventory. No tracking cookies, no marketing cookies, no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

05 Your rights

You can ask us to delete all the data we hold about you at any time. Email hello@tubemine.app from the address on your account and we will purge within 7 days. You will receive a confirmation when the purge is complete.

If you are a resident of the EU, UK, or California, the rights granted by GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA apply. The mechanism is the same: one email.

06 Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that affects what we collect or what we do with it, we will email every existing user at least 30 days before the change applies. Non-material edits (typo fixes, link updates) are not announced but the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change.

07 Contact

Questions, requests, or anything that does not fit a bug report: hello@tubemine.app. One human reads every message.
